Macroeconomic Shocks and Inclusive Societies: The Implications of Macroeconomic Shocks for the Rise of Populism in Europe and the Erosion of EU Identity (MACRO-POP)

Πρόσκληση Εκδήλωσης Ενδιαφέροντος για έναν (1) εξωτερικό συνεργάτη, που θα πληροί συγκεκριμένα τυπικά και ουσιαστικά προσόντα, τα οποία περιγράφονται ακολούθως και ειδικότερα παραδοτέα έργου ως εξής:

• WP1 THE IMPLICATIONS OF AGING ON THE RISE OF POPULISM IN EUROPE,
• WP2 THE IMPLICATIONS OF PAST MACROECONOMIC SHOCKS ON POPULIST ATTITUDES IN EUROPE,
• WP3 THE IMPLICATIONS OF PAST MACROECONOMIC SHOCKS ON THE FORMATION OF EUROPEAN IDENTITY,
• WP4 DISSEMINATION OF THE RESEARCH FINDINGS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT,

D1. A detailed dataset that will include both actual electoral outcomes and individual level voting outcomes and political and immigrant attitudes and individuals demographics from the ESS, IVS harmonized with the WDI and Eurostat aging measurements both at the country and the regional level

D2. A literature review in the several implications of aging societies and populism, an empirical exploration of the implications of aging populations on actual electoral outcomes and individual- level voting outcomes and populist parties, political orientation, polarization, trust in national institutions and immigrant attitudes in European countries and regions

D3. A detailed dataset that will include the individual - level populist attitudes from the ESS harmonized with the WDI and Barro-Ursua Macroeconomic Data (2010) indicators at the country level analysis and the construction of indices of several past macroeconomic shocks that individuals were exposed to between 18-25 years of age in European countries

D5. The extension of the detailed dataset in Del3 including now the individual level outcomes from the ESS merged with the IVS (Del1 )and the collection of Eurobarometer

D7. Workshop

D8. Interim and Final Report of the Project

D9. Delivery of the website publicizing all the research output of the project, workshop programs, presentations in conferences, lecture material and anything else related to the project
